Realm of Thorns follows Thorne's point of view as he searches for Vallen over eight years, and builds The Wolf of the North legend to protect Raven. 

Realm of Darkness follows Vallen's perspective as he is captured, imprisoned, and transformed over eight years before reuniting with Raven.
